Tour our garden and farm
Our Jacob-patterned sheep For those who would like to leave the hustle and bustle of the highway on their journey of discovery of the splendours of the South Island, we invite you to pull into Warwickz Farm and share some quiet time.
Farm tours
Marvel at the curious doe eyed alpaca’s who will come up to you in greeting in the hope of a handful of yummy alpaca nuts that they will eat from your hand.
Laugh at the angora goats who think they are missing out and will push and shove each other to be first to get to the tasty morsel in your hand.
Friendly animals will eat out of your hand See our flock of black and coloured sheep, our native Arapawa sheep and Jacob patterned sheep. Check this site for shearing dates and come along and watch, likewise the alpaca shearing.
You’ve heard of Dalmatian dogs, now visit Panda our Dalmatian rabbit and Shadow his black buddy.
White fantail pigeons will probably do a fly past in honour of your visit and if you drop in on a summer evening you may catch Basil the rooster who thinks he’s a pigeon perching for the night with his fellow white feathered cousins.
The aracauna and Chinese silky chooks and fellow roosters totally disown Basil since he has joined his new family
Honey and Key our aging yet elegant horses are always on the scrounge for a piece of apple and a chat and a pat.
Walk into our delightful, old-style garden The Garden
While the fauna is attractive so too are the Gardens.
Specialising in natives, our award winning 30 year old rambling gardens break into more formal gardens as you track towards the 100 year old farmhouse.
Follow the Rhododendron Walk over the rustic bridges and look out for the historic farm machinery and implements and the fantails.
The Secret Garden is a tranquil island in a sea of every shade of green and backs onto the Rose Arbour whose wrought iron gate we invite you to open and take a moment to literally smell the roses.
